TEACHING CONTENT THROUGH A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Finland - Hungary - Romania - Spain - Turkey - The United Kingdom
Objectives
1. The Environment Dimension
- To prepare pupils for their future studies and working life by learning content through different perspectives.
- To know and understand other European systems of teaching and learning in the primary sector.
2. The Linguistic Dimension
- To share C.L.I.L resources of teaching and learning foreign languages.
- To develop C.L.I.L activities in the classroom following the same topics.
- To facilitate students to know other cultures, habits and interests.
- To develop interactive activities among associated schools.
- To encourage target groups to exhibit their personal skills.
- To develop and plan C.L.I.L activities using a foreign language.
3. The Intercultural Dimension
- To reinforce social development skills.
- To respect and consider different thoughts and way of life.
- To enhance collaborative work in the classroom and among schools partners.
4. The Learning Dimension
- To improve the motivation and active work through communicative activities.
- To develop a cross cultural and cross curricular dimension of education
- To develop a Team Teaching in which teachers of the same or of different subject areas cooperate in the planning,
realisation and further development of an educational course.
5. The Content Dimension
- To study different contents (subjects, optional modules) from different perspectives.
