If the connection between our server and yours is too slow for you to use
this exercise, or you're worried about the costs, you can alternatively
copy the files needed to your local system and use these pages
without connecting to the Internet.
I've prepared a handy zip file with all necessary files to make this
procedure easier for you.
Instructions (Win 95/98)
- Download asounds-e.zip
- Create directory C:\Asounds
- Unzip the files and subdirectories in asounds-e.zip
to C:\Asounds.
- Move "Animal Sounds" shortcut where you want to, for example to
the desktop.
If you wish to place the Asounds directory somewhere else, feel free to do
so. The only negative result of changing the location of the Asounds
directory is that the shortcut will not work, and you'll have to update the
shortcut (or create a new one, pointing to the actual
location of animal-e.html in your system). Other than that, everything
should run smoothly.
All files except the shortcut will also run in Windows 3.11 systems.
